On a sunny Sunday morning my friend and I headed up the Haebangchon hill to a little café called Permanent Habitat.
Permanent Habitat is very small café that can seat about eight people inside, and with a bench enough for two people outside. Inside it had a simple single bench for seating and small tables, and a main counter. All of this was made of a wood stained a beautiful dark caramel.
Though the café was small and simple yet it still had a lot of heart. It felt very homely and calming. Its lampshades, simple artwork and fresh flowers, though small all reminded me of home. It was also on trend with some plush chocolate colored carpet that all added to the homeliness. We went in the morning, and it was lovely to sit on the bench outside and bask in the sun.
As for the drinks, I ordered a milk tea, and my friend, an iced ammericano. The milk tea had a nice rich taste and my friend said the coffee was good.
Although the place was tiny, it had a lot of heart. It was a lovely calming place to enjoy a morning sitting in the sun watching passers-by. So in dead beat terms, this is a lovely and quaint café to enjoy a quiet but good quality drink of choice.
